Holy Crap..lol

I was sitting at the emergency room waiting for my son in law during his appointment, and my car jumped the shit out of me..It started talking to me out of no-where.. Now this I did not expect..lol. Would love to have seen the look on my face.

Apparently in my Bluetooth mode, it doesn't just read and send messages it also can and does state them in words. Jumped the hell out of me when it did that as I was unaware of that capability.  Learning something new every time I drive it seems. But Lordy that jumped me.. don't get me wrong I love that feature..

The dealership on the other hand is starting to annoy me a little. I have had the car now for a week as of today, and they have yet to come and get the Focus that was traded in. It still sitting out front of the house on the street with no plates, and seeing as I no longer own it, I have considered calling a tow company just to be rid of it. There were suppose to take it a week ago, then Monday rolled around and no word from them, nothing until today, they finally messaged Deb and said they were getting it today... well here it is after 6pm, and its still sitting there... 'Gunna give them 1 more day then I will get rid of it..

Vet.Plate

Unfortunately when I returned the Jeep I also had to surrender my Veterans Plate here in the state of Florida. Kind of sucks, but with the Rogue I ended up swapping the plate from the Focus as it was the vehicle used for the trade in.

I kept the plate frame though so its not a total loss..It now covers the Rogue plate, its just not the actual Veteran Tag from the state.

No worries though, once this plate expires I will re- register the Rogue and get a Veteran plate once again. In the mean time I did manage to to find my Veteran Edition side emblems, and they promptly went onto the Rogue..

Figured out Android Auto.

Sort of, kind of anyway..lol

Navigating the different menus and the system was a challenge to figure out. Pairing was the easiest to do.

So now I have my phone, maps, messages, music, etc all at my fingertips on the steering wheel or the main screen.

It'll take a little time but I will get proficient at it within a few days.

1 Dislike thus far:

Apparently the vehicle has several sensors that I have never had or dealt with before..ie: lane assist.. I was ready to call the dealership and bitch that there was an issue with the steering on occasion..come to find out its a sensor that vibrates the steering wheel if you begin to go out of your lane..its almost like hitting a rumble strip. Its not loud or obnoxious but kind of subtle but will get your attention.

That is just one of the many sensors within the vehicle. Another thing I need to get use to is there is this thing called Driving Assist..!

Nissan Rogue SV. tutorial

Its no wonder I can't figure this thing out,..lol. So many buttons, menus, and gizmos..think I could operate a Navy ship easier than navigating my way around the cockpit of this thing.. But I love it..

Pleasant surprise..

R2 comes with 4 USB ports, 2 front and 2 rear.. I opened the glove-box to find the owners manual and warranty booklets, etc and low and behold this was also in the glove-box. 4 Brand new USB-c charging cords in a nice leather covered zip box. That was a nice surprise.

the car continues to surprise me and I am finding all kinds of new things and capabilities that I appreciate (especially the convenience ones). It's a big upgrade to what I am use to for vehicles..lol. I have been stuck in the past with older vehicles without the upgrades and new technology that has been built into today's cars. Basically an old fart playing catch up. Until now, I have not had a vehicle newer than 2011/12 so 10 years +/- have slipped by on me.

Purchased : r2

Just purchased this brand new 2025 Nissan Rogue, SV. 02 August 2025. Dubbed: R2 as Deb also is now an owner of a 2021 Nissan Rogue dubbed R1.

Comes to me with just 25 miles on the odometer. We purchased it from Fisher Nissan out of Titusville,Fl.

What a nice vehicle this is..

It is the base model but still has a ton of features that put this vehicle in a class of its own in my opinion.

The whole process of getting this vehicle financed was a fairly straight forward one. Had a piece of junk that was used as a trade and I might add I got a ridiculously good offer for it that I did not expect. Let's just say it was more than $3000 and I was expecting maybe scrap metal pricing..lol. But I am not 'gunna look a gifted house in the mouth.

It is such a smooth, quiet ride that is comfortable in all aspects.. button and knob placements are convenient and plentiful it is laid out almost like sitting in a cockpit of sorts. Incredible amount of space tucked into this medium sized SUV. Has most interior options available with the exception of the sun/moon roof.

This blog will be used for my personal reasons and records of my adventures, issues, and experiences with owning this vehicle.
